A tragic vehicle accident claimed the life of a young man on Saturday evening. The crash occurred at around 9:14 p.m. on US-385 and E0350 Road, about 17 miles south of Boise City. The victim, 21-year-old Yahir R. N. Licea, was driving a 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 northbound on US-385 when the accident happened.
As he approached a curve, Licea lost control of his truck. He overcorrected, causing the truck to veer off the road to the left. The vehicle then swerved back onto the road and went off again, rolling over approximately seven times before finally coming to a stop on its wheels.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but unfortunately, Licea was pronounced dead by the medical examiner. His body was later transported to Henson Novak Funeral Home in Guymon, Oklahoma.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation, and authorities are working to understand what led to this tragic event. In the meantime, the community of Boise City mourns the loss of a young life and offers support to Licea’s family during this difficult time.
