A man was arrested after a tense 4-hour standoff with police at a Portland apartment complex. The incident began when the man fired shots through a door, leading to an emergency response from the Portland Police Bureau.
On the morning of July 19, residents of a Portland apartment complex were startled by gunfire. The suspect, whose identity has not been disclosed, reportedly fired several shots through the door of an apartment. The Portland Police Bureau received multiple 911 calls from concerned neighbors and quickly dispatched officers to the scene.
Upon arrival, the police found that the suspect had barricaded himself inside an apartment. Officers established a perimeter around the building and evacuated nearby residents for their safety. The Special Emergency Reaction Team (SERT) was called in to handle the situation.
