One charged after fleeing scene of deadly Dallas motorcycle crash

DALLAS—A man is incarcerated following a fatal motorbike collision in Dallas.

What We Know: On December 20 at around 5:30 p.m., police were called to an accident scene at the intersection of Irving Boulevard and Wycliff Avenue.

The victim was riding a motorbike south on Irving Boulevard, according to investigators.

The motorcyclist was struck by a suspect in a truck that turned left into Sylvan Avenue from Irving Boulevard.

Michael Frantom, 30, was declared dead at the site of the collision.

Jonathan Salazar Garcia, age 21, was taken into custody and accused with collision involving death.

Salazar Garcia’s arrest warrant affidavit states that a witness witnessed the collision and that the truck driver briefly stopped before leaving the area.

Salazar Garcia traveled almost two miles prior to his arrest, according to witnesses.
