Copper Theft Suspects Arrested

The three individuals apprehended on Monday were Darcie Jackson, 42, of Granbury, Danny Kempe, 57, and Sheldon Witt, 48, of Fort Worth.
According to Fort Worth police, Lake Worth Police Chief Jay Manoshagian, who spotted the suspects on Saturday while he was leaving the gym after working out, was primarily responsible for the arrest.
They were purportedly removing the covering from copper wires when they were in a parking lot in the north Fort Worth neighborhood located in the 2900 block of Shamrock Avenue.
Officers arrested them when Chief Manoshagian phoned the police right away.
Additionally, 155 pounds of copper wire worth $675 on the black market were found.
Sgt. Anthony White of the Fort Worth Police Department stated, “These thieves are not getting one foot when they hit us here in Fort Worth.” At a time, they are removing 200 to 300 feet. More at times.
