Texas’ ArlingtonLocal families’ holiday fantasies are being fulfilled by an annual Christmas store in Arlington. Additionally, Monday was Mission Arlington’s shopping day.
“You may acquire three different gifts for each of your children in the center right here. And you receive two for every child on that wall right there,” Harmony Ontere remarked.
At Sam Houston High School, Ontere is a senior. On Monday, however, he worked as a toy specialist at the Christmas store in Mission Arlington.
When parents came in looking for holiday blessings for their kids, he assisted them in finding them.
Ontere described his favorite aspect of volunteering.
“Some parents are unsure of their desires. I frequently assist them and have experience choosing gifts,” he said.
Teen volunteer Summer Barker also assisted with wrapping gifts.
“It s nice to help out the community and know that what you re doing is like going to be helping others,” she stated.

For forty years, Mission Arlington has been providing support to local families.
Tillie Bergin, the leader of the long-running charity, expressed her excitement over the growing number of families receiving assistance each year.
“We made an effort to educate individuals. Let us assist with the expenses and cover your rent. Don’t use your rent funds. Therefore, I believe that when people come here and receive toys, they will be able to handle better and won’t be disappointed,” Bergin added.
It went as smoothly as possible thanks to the enthusiastic volunteers Ontere and Barker and, of course, Santa’s blessing.
The Christmas store this year will close on Monday afternoon.
