DallasNearly 90 undocumented aliens were taken into custody by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in North Texas on Sunday. Additionally, there are indications that this is only the beginning.
ICE Arrests in Dallas-Fort Worth

According to ICE, 84 persons were taken into custody by agents in Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington, Irving, Garland, and Collin County on Sunday.
“U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, along with our federal law enforcement partners, began conducting enhanced targeted operations yesterday in North Texas and the state of Oklahoma to enforce U.S. immigration law and preserve public safety and national security by keeping potentially dangerous criminal aliens out of our communities,” a spokesperson for ICE said in a statement.
At the ICE Dallas field office, FOX 4 saw a group of guys in handcuffs and shackles being loaded into a van on Monday afternoon.
On Sunday, hundreds of people demonstrated against the illegal immigration policies in Dallas.

ICE has stated that all DFW immigrants are criminals, but it has not specified which offenses they are accountable for.

“I seriously doubt that you’ll witness the arrest of the grandmother or the youngster about whom everyone is concerned. “They might be, but it will only be a very small number of cases,” retired Homeland Security special agent AJ Irwin stated. “The government doesn t want to do that first of all, and second of all, they don t want to get tied up.”
According to Irwin, some of the people who were just detained might have been under Homeland Security’s suspicion for months or even years, but during the previous administration, investigators might not have been permitted to proceed with certain arrests.
“They are already aware of these individuals. This evidence has been gathered for some time. “So, they’re going after people,” he stated. “They aren’t merely carrying out the old-fashioned strategy of going out and conducting raids in specific parts of a city that may be known to harbor a large number of illegal aliens. No, that is not what they are doing. Everything is targeted.
Nationwide Immigration Crackdown
The arrests in North Texas were a part of a statewide crackdown on almost 1,000 illegal aliens who were either convicted or accused of committing other crimes.
At a Denver nightclub, about fifty illegal immigrants were taken into custody. Many of them were gang members and narcotics smugglers, according to federal officials.
The average number of non-citizen arrests per day last year was 310. According to a Washington Post article, the Trump administration intends to raise the daily arrest total to at least 1,200 to 1,500 individuals.
“I don’t believe any families have been taken into custody. Bottom line: We’ve detained national security and public safety dangers,” Border Czar Tom Homan stated.
‘Deportation flights have begun’ as President Trump ramps up ICE raids
The Trump administration claims that the removal of unlawfully present criminals is the primary objective of the comprehensive plan. Furthermore, some students are voicing worries even though there is no proof that raids are taking place in North Texas.
According to Homan, ICE is still committed to catching criminals.
The Trump administration’s main goal is cracking down on illegal immigration, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth told reporters Monday.
“He s made it very clear there is an emergency at the southern border that the sovereign, that protection of the sovereign territory of the United States is the job of the Defense Department,” he stated.
According to the Trump administration, a policy that has been in place since 2011 will be essentially discontinued when federal immigration officials are permitted to make arrests at hospitals, schools, and places of worship.
According to Homeland Security: “Criminals will no longer be able to hide in America s schools and churches to avoid arrests,”
It also stated that cops must continue to exercise restraint and a “healthy dose of common sense” when in sensitive areas.
It doesn’t seem like arrests have taken place at those kinds of places as of yet.
Texas Sends 400 Troops to the Border
Texas Governor Greg Abbott is deploying additional troops to the border as ICE continues its crackdown.
Abbott announced on Monday that he was sending roughly 400 troops from facilities in Houston and Fort Worth to the Rio Grande Valley, which is the border between the United States and Mexico.
