Driver slams into wall minutes after hit-and-run crash

On Sunday afternoon, the first collision occurred on the ramp leading from Western Center Boulevard to southbound Interstate 35W.

According to Fort Worth police, a pickup truck driver struck another car and continued driving.

A few minutes later, on southbound I-35W, a pickup truck that fit that description crashed into a wall.

The collision claimed the life of the pickup truck driver.

The driver of the struck car was unharmed.

What is unknown to us:

The deceased driver’s name has not yet been made public.

Police have not stated if they believe drinking played a role.
