Death of Journee Clark
The backstory
Court filings state that on February 14, 2021, Franklin was watching 14-month-old Journee Clark. At the time of the attack, she was in the 3900 block of Goden Horn Lane.
After being brought to the hospital, Clark was declared dead.
Multiple hemorrhages from blunt force trauma to the head were discovered during Clark’s autopsy.
That Valentine’s Day, the youngster passed away shortly after 4 p.m.
According to Tarrant County officials, Franklin repeatedly broke her bail by continuing to interact with youngsters and use illegal drugs.
Since April 8, 2024, she has been housed at the Tarrant County Jail.
