He has about 30 years of experience as a position coach or coordinator.

He is also the son of Marty Schottenheimer, the late NFL head coach.

Since announcing Mike McCarthy’s resignation, the Cowboys have conducted interviews with three other candidates.

Leslie Frazieron, the assistant head coach of the Seattle Seahawks, was also questioned by the organization on Tuesday.

Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Kelen Moore had a virtual interview this past Friday, and former New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh was interviewed on Saturday.

What is unknown to us:

According to certain insiders, Schottenheimer is presently favored by the betting markets, and an offer is expected soon.

The organization hasn’t, however, provided a deadline for its decision-making process or any feedback on the applicants.

It’s unclear if they intend to interview any other applicants.
