The incident took place in the 7300 block of Stonybrooke Drive shortly before 11 p.m.
Numerous reports of shooting in the vicinity prompted North Richland Hills police to arrive.
A guy who had been shot inside his house was discovered by first responders. He was identified as 52-year-old Brian Pence. After being brought to a local hospital, Pence passed away.
