FRISCO, Texas:The reunion between the Dallas Cowboys and Ezekiel Elliott has ended without much fanfare.

What We Know: In advance of the Week 18 finale against the Washington Commanders, the Cowboys cut Elliott on Tuesday.

Elliott reportedly asked to be released in order to finish the season with a team that was in the running for the playoffs.

Elliott ran for 226 yards on 3.1 yards per attempt in 15 Dallas games this season. They were both low points in my career.

For disciplinary concerns, the former first-round pick was also deactivated for a game versus the Falcons.

After playing for the New England Patriots in 2023, Elliott inked a one-year contract with the Cowboys this summer.
