Idaho Emerges as Top Spot for Californians' Bathroom Shopping Spree

After a tiring day at work, a fun weekend with friends, a camping trip, or a good workout—what’s the one thing that we all (hopefully) can agree on as the best feeling? Chances are, you haven’t really thought much about your shower lately. But here’s something to ponder: in California, many residents—millions, in fact—are frustrated about their showers on a regular basis.

California seems to always be in a ‘drought’ state, which means people there have to find creative ways to save water. This is unlike in Idaho, where there aren’t such strict rules about how much water you can use while showering.

Because of these rules, many Californians are heading across state lines to Idaho to buy new shower heads and other bathroom supplies. But is that legal?

When you think about taking a road trip to Idaho, especially to go shopping, you might think that people are coming for the great potatoes here. But it turns out our shower heads might be even more popular than our famous spuds!

We spoke with a man at a local home goods store just this week who was passing through Idaho for work. He said he planned to take an Idaho shower head back to California with him. He was in line to buy a showerhead with very high water pressure. He told us he feels like he’s being told  how he has to take a shower, and he doesn’t like it.
