The charity organization VetsGiving is very new. The organization was founded three years ago with the goal of assisting men and women who are serving or have retired from the armed forces.
Youssef Badawi, a member of the Texas Army National Guard, is thrilled to be hosting a home-cooked Thanksgiving meal.
“I don t even remember the last time I was able to cook Thanksgiving,” added the man. “Last year, I was deployed over in the Middle East.”
FOX 4 was present when Badawi accepted the sincere delivery from VetsGiving volunteers just before they unpacked the special dinner.

“They were really grateful for the small Thanksgiving meal they had in our chow hall. “No matter where I am in the world, it’s always nice to have some pumpkin pie,” he added. “This is going to be slightly different. This year, it’s good to be at home.
Volunteer Katy Ellison stated, “We buy everything we need to prepare out of the donations we receive.” After that, we gather all of the volunteers in a kitchen, cook everything there freshly, and then package it. Additionally, volunteers are providing it.
Additionally, love is abundant in North Texas.

Celebrity chef Tim Love is putting the giving spirit first as well.
Love held a giveaway with a match-for-purchase in collaboration with the Tarrant Area Food Bank. He gave a six-person Thanksgiving dinner to a family in need after someone ordered it from his Woodshed Smokehouse restaurant.
“This year, I really wanted to do something to give back,” Love stated. “And I thought it was fantastic when I realized I could purchase a dinner and donate a meal. And I intended to accomplish precisely that.”
North Texas has a strong Thanksgiving spirit, from underprivileged areas to veterans who make sacrifices.
