In the early hours of Sunday morning, a tragic scooter crash in south Boise resulted in the death of a man. Boise police responded to the scene shortly before 2 a.m. after reports of a crash near South Federal Way and South Findley Avenue. The crash involved a Vespa-style scooter, which the man was riding at the time of the accident.
Upon arrival, emergency services found the man with severe injuries and immediately transported him to a nearby hospital. Despite the best efforts of medical professionals, the man succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The Boise Police Department’s Crash Reconstruction Team launched an investigation to determine the cause of the accident. Preliminary findings indicate that the scooter was traveling eastbound on Federal Way when the driver lost control, leading to the crash. Notably, no other people or vehicles were involved in the incident. As of now, the identity of the deceased man has not been publicly released, pending notification of his family.
