DALLAS—Tips from Shaun Rabb’s Trackdown series helped Dallas police apprehend another murder suspect.
Trackdown: Downtown Dallas Shooter
What’s New:
The 30-year-old Tramine Johnson is currently incarcerated in the Dallas County jail.
He is charged with shooting Didier Orea, 20, to death on the streets of Downtown Dallas last month.
An affidavit states that the detective received numerous tips following the FOX 4 broadcast of Trackdown.
The fingerprints from a bag of chips and the Trackdown tips, according to the police, helped identify Johnson as their suspect.
He is accused of both murder and not registering as a sexual offender.
The backstory
On December 14, Orea was fatally shot in the 400 block of North Harwood Street, which runs between Bryan Street and Live Oak Street.
According to detectives, he got into a fight with an unidentified man while meeting a friend in the parking lot on his way back to his apartment complex.
Trackdown: Help find Downtown Dallas shooter
Homicide detectives are searching for the suspect who they believe shot and murdered a man in Downtown Dallas earlier this month on this week’s Trackdown.
The culprit is shown on camera fleeing the area and then making his way back.
Then, his face was captured on surveillance cameras when he entered a convenience store in the heart of the city.
