DALLAS—A serial robbery suspect who has been taking money and intimidating convenience shop staffers is being sought by Dallas police.
Trackdown: Dallas Serial Robber
We know:
Det. Matthew Holson of the Dallas Police Department says the man has been wanted for at least six robberies since January 6.
One of two things is what he really does. He either enters, proceeds directly to the register, and demands payment. When they refuse to give him the money, he puts his hand on the gun, lifts up his sweatshirt, and displays the gun’s butt. He has done so on multiple occasions. In a couple robberies, he enters, pretends to purchase something, and then proceeds to pay with cash. He demands money from the register after it opens, then raises his hoodie and touches the revolver,” Det. Holson assisted.
Convenience businesses in Central Dallas, Northwest Dallas, and Southwest Dallas have all been robbed by the same culprit.
He is about five feet tall, Hispanic, and slender, according to the police description.
Despite his varied attire, he always covers his face with a mask and occasionally a beanie. He has a distinctive hoodie as well.
“We re really interested in a green hoodie with a Grinch on it because that one does stand out,” stated the cop.
