Texas Rangers trade Nathaniel Lowe to Nationals

Texas’ ArlingtonAn important part of the Texas Rangers’ 2023 World Series roster has been traded.

What we know: In exchange for left-handed reliever Robert Garcia, first baseman Nathaniel Lowe is sent to the Washington Nationals.

For the Rangers, Lowe received a Silver Slugger Award in 2022 and a Gold Glove Award in 2023.

Lowe received a thank-you social media post from the Rangers.

“For your countless contributions to the organization, clubhouse and community,” the message reads. “Thank you, Nathaniel, you’ll forever be a World Series champ.”

Earlier this summer, the Rangers acquired Jake Burger, who is expected to be the team’s new first baseman.

The Rangers will also get another bullpen arm from Robert Garcia.

According to the numbers, Lowe has 16 home runs and a.265 in 2024.

Last year, Burger slugged 29 home runs and hit.250.

Garcia struck out a healthy 11.3 batters per 9 innings in 2024 despite having a 4.22 ERA.
