According to Tarrant County officials, an inmate passed away on Friday following a medical crisis while being held.
What we are aware of:According to the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office, a 31-year-old inmate passed away on Friday following a medical issue.
Despite their best efforts, the jail’s medical personnel was unable to resuscitate the victim.
According to deputies, the individual was placed on detox protocol and booked for a medical and mental health evaluation after disclosing a “long history of medical issues” during admission.
Grapevine police had detained the man on Monday for possessing drugs and drug paraphernalia.
According to deputies, the individual was examined by medical personnel at the Grapevine jail prior to being charged and subsequently moved to Tarrant County.
