Suspect steals donation jar at nonprofit dog rescue event in Mesquite

Mesquite, TexasPolice are looking into a theft that occurred at a PetSmart on Saturday at a nonprofit dog rescue event. The crime involved a man taking a contribution container full with cash.

We know:

On January 25, at approximately 3 p.m., officers were called to a theft at a PetSmart in Mesquite.

According to reports, a suspect took a donation jar filled with money collected for a nonprofit dog rescue group.

The suspect drove off in a white Chrysler 300 with dark tinted windows and black rims. The license plates on the car read MBE-170 from Oklahoma.
