DALLAS—A man who shot two people at a DART station at Fair Park in South Dallas in the middle of the afternoon is being sought by police.
The shooting took place on Tuesday.
A man brandishing a long gun is depicted in a surveillance image. Around 4 p.m., a shooting occurred while people were there with their kids.
At the time, a mother was at the MLK Jr. Station with her three and five-year-old boys. She requested that FOX 4 not reveal her identity or use her name.
“It was very scary for me because you don t know where the bullets are coming from,” she stated. And children are waking up. That’s what made the difference for me.
After being shot, two persons were taken to a hospital.
According to DART, one of their cameras captured the man brandishing a long gun in a surveillance photo that was circulated on social media.
Another mother who did not want her identity to be publicized was interviewed by FOX 4. She was with her 4-month-old daughter when she witnessed the incident.
“I could see that debris grazing, and it seemed like bullets were flying. I quickly got back on the train and noticed someone lying there,” she recalled.
