Texas’s ShermanSherman emergency personnel are searching for an 8-year-old child who vanished following an accident on Christmas Eve for the third day in a row.

What We Know: At 7 a.m. on Thursday, search operations resumed.

According to police, on the morning of Christmas Eve, an SUV containing six individuals wrecked on Highway 75 while it was going from Durant, Oklahoma to McKinney.

Because of the intense rain that was falling at the time, police think the SUV hydroplaned. The SUV was washed down the ditch by the waves.

Rescuers labored to free the people inside the SUV. The girl swept away in the creek, and one adult male died.

The identity of the man killed in the collision has not yet been made public by authorities, but several family members and neighbors have named him as Will Robinson, a girls basketball coach at Durant High School in Oklahoma.

After being transported to hospitals, the four rescued family members were later released.
