At approximately 6:45 p.m. on Friday, Arlington police received a 9-1-1 call regarding a potential robbery in progress.
Lt. Courtney White of Arlington Police said, “A passerby was driving by and saw these two individuals with masks on.” “He or she thought that they were entering a business, handling a firearm, and actively seeing people inside.” Thus, they made the decision to call.

After arriving on the site, police surrounded the facility with a perimeter.
One individual emerged from the building and fled as two officers were in the rear.

Employees bound, but no one injured
“We are incredibly grateful and relieved to report that no officers were injured during this incident,” White stated.
According to Arlington police, a number of CashMax employees were not hurt despite having their hands and legs taped shut.
According to Lt. White, “they were shaken up, but they were not injured as much.”
The CashMax was temporarily closed on Monday, according to a sign posted on the store’s window.
Search for second suspect
“Our detectives continue to follow up on leads as they work to identify this individual,” Lieutenant White stated.
According to her, authorities are not yet prepared to make the second suspect’s description public. In order to protect the inquiry, she did not want to divulge any other information.
“We are actively looking for this person in order to arrest them,” she continued. “If you know any information regarding this incident, please contact the Arlington Police Department immediately because that could help us locate this person.”

What they’re saying:
Ariana Hernandez, who works at a Mexican restaurant close to the CashMax business, claims that she heard a knock at the rear door on Friday night, just after the gunfire. She thinks the guy who fled was the suspect.
“For perhaps two or five seconds. Hernandez claimed that he was making a serious effort to enter the eatery. “”I was terribly afraid.”
Ten to fifteen patrons were inside the restaurant when the gunfire occurred, and they took refuge beneath tables.
“My goal was to ensure everyone’s safety. My main argument was to just keep everyone safe. Hernandez remarked, “I wasn’t thinking about myself; I was thinking about the people, the customers.”
She says the incident has been hard for her to digest and she hopes the second culprit gets apprehended quickly.
“I’m still really afraid. “I’m really, really scared if anything happens again,” Hernandez added.
Next steps:
The officer-involved shooting is being investigated by police on both a criminal and internal level.
Until the conclusion of the internal investigation, the two officers who discharged their service weapons will be placed on regular administrative leave.
Police have stated that one officer has been with the department for three years and the other for two years, but they are not disclosing their identities.
“We plan to release relevant portions of body-worn camera and dashboard camera footage at a later date once the investigative teams are done reviewing it,” Lieutenant White stated.
