Second-grader finds loaded gun in backpack at North Richland Hills school

Police say a gun was discovered in the backpack of a second-grader at an elementary school in North Richland Hills on Wednesday.

At International Leadership of Texas North Richland Hills, the youngster informed their instructor that they thought their luggage had a gun. The instructor notified the campus cop and school officials right away, and they secured the backpack.

Following an inquiry, the officer discovered a gun with one loaded bullet inside the bag.

According to the police, the gun was placed in the backpack by the student’s parents. After conducting a campus search, further cops concluded that there was no threat to other students.
