Texas’ SeagovilleA hit-and-run driver who struck a guy standing on the side of the road is being sought by Seagoville police.
Seagoville Deadly Crash
We know:
The collision occurred on the westbound service road on Hwy. 175 between the Malloy Bridge Road and Seagoville Road exits last Thursday at approximately 7 p.m.
Jamie Lopez Tinoco, 51, is thought to have stopped on the right side of the service road to inspect the building materials in his truck’s bed, according to investigators.
He was standing behind his truck when he was struck by another car, even though he had his emergency flashers on.
In the end, Lopez Tinoco became trapped between the two cars. The sheet metal and metal tubing sticking out of his truck bed caused him to sustain painful injuries.
Tinoco was already dead when the police came.
“There was fluid spills, and then there was a trail leaving from the scene of the accident that led officers to believe there was an accident there involving a second vehicle,” stated Seagoville Police Officer Sam Click.
There wasn’t much more evidence to deal with than the fluid spillage.
There were no cameras in the area to record the collision. Additionally, police had no witnesses.
What is unknown to us:
The other car and its driver are still being sought by Seagoville police.
They indicated it probably has serious front-end damage now, but they don’t know the make or model.
Additionally, a trail of fluid that appeared to have spilled from the second vehicle during its escape was discovered by the police.
What they’re saying:
Tinoco’s pastor, David Villarreal, claims that when he pulled over that evening, they were talking on the phone.
“My legs!” is the last thing he says. And I ask, “Are you alright?” How are things going? And he stopped talking,” the preacher remembered.
Although Villarreal claimed not to have heard a crash, Tinoco’s phone was later answered at the spot by someone who informed them of his passing.
“The man that answered the phone, he told me, I think somebody hit him and run away because there’s no one, nobody here,” Villarreal said.
According to Villarreal, Tinoco was a content individual who was trying to improve his life.
“He was so happy about serving the Lord,” he continued. “Because I am aware that he senses the Lord independently. And I’m confident that he’s doing well at the moment.”
