Eight puppies were saved from a Dumpster at Fort Worth Park by a volunteer with the Humane Society of North Texas.
What We Know: According to the Humane Society, on New Year’s Day, volunteer Matt McEntire was at Crestwood Park walking his dog when he heard a noise coming from a trash can.
He discovered eight little pups when he approached the can.
One by one, he walked them to his house.
A medical team is examining the 8-week-old puppies.
If all goes according to plan, the puppies will be available for adoption the following week, according to the Humane Society.
What We Don’t Know: Who left the puppies in the garbage can is currently unknown.
