The event starts at 5801-B Graye Lane at 2:00 p.m. on February 10 and includes light refreshments and a public tour of the building.

Using federal ARPA monies, Canyon County begins construction of a new elections facility.

According to a press release from Canyon County, the 16,500-square-foot, $4.7 million building was built to accommodate the county’s expanding demands using federal monies from the American Rescue Plan Act. A more effective and accessible election process is ensured by the new building’s substantial expansion of space for early voting, election training, and secure vote processing.

According to the announcement, Canyon County Clerk Rick Hogaboam stressed the value of the new structure during the groundbreaking in May, emphasizing its role in ensuring safe and fair elections.

As the second-largest county in the state, Canyon County needs a modernized elections office that can effectively serve its people, according to Hogaboam’s news release. This structure demonstrates our dedication to voter accessibility and election integrity.
