Dallas, Texas:The Crandall U.S. Highway 175 frontage road is once again open after a traffic stop and shooting involving deputies from the Kaufman County sheriff’s office.

According to the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office, a car chase ensued after a deputy attempted to stop a suspect on Hwy. 175 early on Tuesday morning but the suspect refused to stop.
When the suspect pulled down on the northbound frontage road close to a Subway restaurant in Crandall, the pursuit came to a halt. According to reports, the suspect abandoned the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot.
Shots were fired and the suspect was hit during the foot chase.
Unknown in condition, the suspect was brought to a nearby hospital.
There were no cops hurt.

While he was bringing out the trash, a worker at a nearby gas station heard the gunshots.
“I initially believe that I’m deceiving myself, you know. The ice maker must be the cause. “Perhaps something fell in,” Tommie Jemerson remarked. “I return inside. I glance at the cameras and notice that there are numerous police lights adjacent to the building.
According to Jemerson, the guy leaped from his car close to the subway.
“Eventually I come out and they’re chasing the guy further into the area behind me and gunshots were exchanged,” stated the man. “I heard the shots once I ran around to the side of the building.”
He is currently praying for the participating officers.
“Sometimes you’re out there trying to do your job in a life risk situation,” he stated.
