Organized crime ring targets Midlothian pharmacies; 5 still wanted

  • Remond Williams, 27

  • Bradford Wines, 23

The guys are charged with several offenses, including third-degree felony burglary of a building containing a controlled narcotic and second-degree felony organized crime.

A total of 26 warrants with bonds totaling about $2.6 million have been issued.

Anyone with information on the suspects or their whereabouts is urged by the police to contact 911 right away.

The backstory:

When Midlothian police responded to a break-in at All Care Pharmacy on South Midlothian Parkway on July 8, the investigation got underway. Officers discovered that unidentified suspects had stolen controlled narcotics and damaged a window to enter the building.

On September 21, a second burglary took place at the same pharmacy.

There were further break-ins at Midlothian Pharmacy on South 14th Street on September 26 and Ropheka Pharmacy on Hawkins Run on September 25.

Investigators discovered a trend of comparable crimes taking place in other places at roughly the same period.

In connection with the burglaries, police first detained Demetrius Wines and then Alfred Echols.

Five more suspects were identified by officers after more inquiry. Warrants are now in effect.
