Around 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, the electrical substation close to the intersection of Seventeen Lakes Blvd. and Henrietta Creed Road caught fire. East of Alliance Airport is where you’ll find it.

According to Oncor, most customers in the area still have power because it has diverted power. About 40 customers are still without power.

Oncor was working to turn off the substation’s electricity at the time of the last inspection so that firefighters could focus on bringing the fire under control.

On the scene, firefighters from Roanoke and Saginaw, which are nearby, are providing assistance.
