DallasThe death of a gifted musician who was murdered in a hit-and-run accident last week has left friends and family in sadness.

The Backstory: The fatal collision occurred on Friday at approximately 5:30 p.m. close to Irving Boulevard and Wycliff Avenue in Dallas.

Investigators were informed by witnesses that Elijah Heaps, 30, and Jonathan Salazar Garcia, 21, collided after Garcia’s Dodge Ram vehicle made a left turn.

Salazar Garcia never stopped to assist, according to the police.
