Over 1,300 entries were received, and 12 were chosen.

In order to keep up with the demands of the expanding metropolis, the street sweepers were ordered last spring. The sweepers were placed into service in September and are anticipated to travel roughly 4,800 miles a month to improve the city’s cleanliness.

Keep a look out for those in the Fort Worth area as the names will be shown on the sweepers.

The names were revealed at the work session of the Fort Worth City Council on December 3.

The city will give a prize bundle to the individuals who submitted the winning names.
