McKinney, TexasThe driver who struck a 14-year-old pedestrian and fled is being sought by McKinney police.
At 6:14 p.m. on Saturday, the teenage kid was struck close to Lake Forest Drive and Highlands Drive.
The vehicle that struck the teenager departed.
Emergency personnel hurried the youngster to the hospital after another vehicle pulled over to assist him. Later, he was declared deceased.

According to McKinney police, the vehicle that struck the boy was a dark, four-door sedan with a damaged passenger-side mirror and perhaps front-end damage.
“This tragedy is devastating for the family and community,” Chief Joe Ellenburgin said in a statement. “We extend our deepest condolences to the family and remain committed to finding the individual responsible for this terrible incident.”
The 14-year-old’s identity is still unknown.
