Texas’ ArlingtonThe man who is suspected of killing two pedestrians in a hit-and-run accident over the weekend has been taken into custody by Arlington police.
The two victims were flung 50 to 100 feet away due to the force of the crash. Then, without pausing to assist, the motorist drove away.
The Most Recent Information Nathan Vaughan, 33, was taken into custody on Tuesday.
According to the police, they found his silver Chevrolet Malibu with significant front-end damage after receiving a tip from a TV viewer.
On the night of the fatal hit-and-run, the tipster claimed to have seen the vehicle parked outside a bar on Great Southwest Parkway. Police received a picture of the car with a paper tag from the tipster.
Using that tag, investigators were able to identify Vaughan and locate footage of his vehicle traveling from a pub on Lamar Boulevard to another bar on Great Southwest Parkway at the time of the collision.
Later, they found the vehicle at Vaughan’s Grand Prairie residence. He claimed that he believed he had struck a light pole.

According to the police, a silver Malibu that was driving onto the sidewalk struck a 22-year-old male and a 23-year-old woman who were strolling down it.
One victim was flung fifty feet when the automobile struck them with such force. The other was found over a hundred feet away from the crash site.
“The pedestrians are just using the sidewalk, then. They’re not doing improperly. Sgt. Alex Rosado of the Arlington Police Department stated, “They are where they should be.” “The car, for whatever reason, leaves the main roadway there, strikes them, and immediately returns back into the roadway.”

Traffic cameras recorded the crash. Police, however, claimed that the still photos and video were too explicit to be made public.
Since then, they have discovered that the victims were residing in one of the nearby motels.
