Stolen Vehicle Spotted
We know:
Around 9 p.m. on Sunday, police officers from Trophy Club reacted to a notification from a Flock camera, a system that specializes in license plate recognition. A stolen Mercedes car was caught on CCTV as it entered Trophy Club.
The stolen car was found by officers abandoned in the 1500 Plantation Oaks Drive parking lot of The Vineyards Apartments.
Police from Roanoke, Southlake, Keller, Northlake, and Irving were among the departments that helped Trophy Club police in their search for a suspect. Drones from Northlake and the Trophy Club K-9 Unit were also used.
Two people turned themselves up after K-9 officers led police to a construction site close to the flats.
Randy Veloz, the suspect, was taken into custody. He is currently facing charges of illegal motor vehicle use and escaping arrest.
Officers found several kinds of identity, financial instruments, stolen items, and suspected narcotics inside the stolen car. There are still unpaid fees associated with these goods.

The stolen Mercedes was already being pursued by Irving police before to the Flock camera notice. Trophy Club police took up the investigation when they lost the car there.
Officers collaborated with other agencies to find the culprit who had from the scene.
What is unknown to us:
Veloz was the sole person taken into custody, despite the police first claiming that two people were involved in the chase.
What function, if any, that second party played is unclear.
When the car was stolen is also unknown.
