DALLAS—The family of Joel Jusino, 35, is grieving over his passing and is still unable to comprehend how the collision occurred.
Jusino’s enduring grin and affection for his family are what people remember about him.
“Joel was a beautiful person inside and out,” his uncle Juan Rios remarked.

Rios has yet to learn to accept the loss of his nephew.
“It always seems so unbelievable to us when we consider it. We simply cannot believe it,” he remarked.
The Backstory: According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Jusino was struck on Saturday while traveling at Inwood Road off Interstate 35E in Dallas by a wrong-way motorist engaged in a police pursuit.
At the scene, he was declared dead.

In Dallas on Saturday, a police pursuit involving a stolen vehicle resulted in a fatal collision.
Police attempted to halt 35-year-old Devonte Webber in Fort Worth at the beginning of the chase because the SUV he was driving had been reported stolen in Chicago.
Additionally, according to the police, Webber was armed and took part in a Christmas Eve heist in Burleson.
He is currently facing several allegations, including unlawful carrying of a firearm, unauthorized use of a vehicle, murder, and escaping arrest resulting in death.

Born in Illinois, Jusino joined the Air Force in 2012 and relocated to Texas.
He leaves a son who is four years old.
“He cherished his son.” Being a father made him very happy, according to his uncle.

“My whole family, we all used to get together at my mom’s place and watch fights,” he stated.

“Don’t hesitate. Put aside any conflicts you may have. It isn’t worthwhile. You know, because there is no guarantee for tomorrow. Joel’s uncle added, “I would never, ever in a million years think that Joel would not be around, especially something like this.”
