As negotiators attempted to persuade a besieged guy to surrender, fireworks were let off in the 1700 block of Skyline Drive in Fort Worth, creating a spectacle.
It all began Thursday afternoon when Lake Worth police attempted to stop him for a moving infraction.
According to Lake Worth police, the man opened fire on cops during the stop, starting a pursuit that culminated with his locking himself inside his Fort Worth relatives’ house.
At that moment, the SWAT squad from the Fort Worth Police Department joined the Lake Worth police to help.
J.T. Manoushagian, the chief of police in Lake Worth, stated, “We know this gentleman had a lengthy criminal history and was on federal probation at the time.” Members of our special operations squad did see him hurling objects out of the car throughout the pursuit. We have tried to find those. We haven’t succeeded.”
