Man With Gun Threatens Apartment Leasing Office

Around noon on Wednesday, police say they got multiple 911 calls regarding a guy brandishing a gun outside the Silver Leaf Villas’ leasing office on John T. White Road.

Callers to 911 expressed concern for their safety. According to one witness, the man aimed the gun at him.

Officers discovered the man in the parking lot when they got there. According to the police, the man fled after removing a gun from his waistband.

Officers said an officer “fearing for her safety and the safety of citizens in the area” fired multiple shots at the suspect during a foot chase. But he was not struck.

Police arrested the man after he briefly locked himself in an apartment.

According to the police, a rifle and a gun were found at the scene.
