DALLAS—Firefighters attempted to extinguish the fire at a complex of apartments in Dallas’ Red Bird neighborhood.
We know:
Around 1 p.m. on Thursday, the Arborstone Apartments on Cockrell Hill Road experienced a two-alarm structure fire.
According to Dallas Fire-Rescue personnel, a resident reported that their apartment was on fire when they went to the leasing office.
The fire had already spread through the building’s three-story roof when firemen arrived.
About thirty minutes were needed for the forty to forty-five firefighters to put out the fire.
Residents were seen standing outside an apartment complex with what seemed to be serious roof damage in SKY 4 images.
According to DFR officials, everyone left safely and nobody was harmed.
What is unknown to us:
Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the fire.
How many units were damaged and how many individuals were displaced are also unclear.
