Elvis Andrus named to the Texas Rangers Baseball Hall of Fame

Andrus was a Rangers player from 2009 until 2020.

Fans in Arlington were soon won over by his contagious charisma and broad smile.

Andrus helped guide the Rangers to two World Series appearances and was selected to two All-Star teams.

Prior to his Ranger retirement on September 6, 2024, he had played for the Chicago White Sox and Oakland Athletics.

In 2025, the Venezuelan native will be a pregame and postgame analyst for a few Rangers games on the Rangers Sports Network.

Andrus had a.274 batting average,.330 on-base percentage, 76 home runs, 636 RBI, and 305 stolen bases over his 12 seasons with the Rangers.

In terms of games (42), at bats (173), hits (46), and stolen bases (9), he owns the Rangers’ career playoff marks.

We know:

At the age of 36, Andrus will become the 27th person to be inducted into the Texas Rangers Baseball Hall of Fame.

Prior to the Rangers’ game against the Seattle Mariners on Saturday, June 28, he will be honored into the Rangers Hall of Fame.

He will be inducted into the Rangers Hall of Fame at the youngest age ever.

In late March, the Texas Rangers Archives Vault will open a special display on Andrus on the upper suite level at Globe Life Field’s Southeast Entrance.

What is unknown to us:

The Rangers have not disclosed whose players will be present during Andrus’s celebration.

At ceremonies honoring Adrian Beltre, Ian Kinsler, and Michael Young, a number of teammates attended.
