Future Snow Totals

Dan Henry, a FOX 4 meteorologist, examines the likelihood of snowfall Thursday evening through Friday morning as well as the future.

Our forecasted snow totals for the whole region have been raised.

As of right now, we predict that the north and east will see 6 to 9 inches of snow.

While locations to our south may experience an inch or less, much of DFW is currently between two and five inches.

Many places have seen a slight increase in temperature over freezing, and most have seen rain or sleet with some flakes.

After sunset, our precipitation will shift from west to east and get heavier over the night.

We anticipate seeing this much more snow after 10 p.m.

From tonight through early Friday morning, the majority of our region will receive an additional 1 to 3 inches of snow.

The north and east will receive the most snowfall.

Only an inch or less will be seen in the south and west.
