Up until 2:30 p.m., Dallas and Tarrant County were under a Flash Flood Warning.
According to radar projections, some places have already seen more than two inches of rain this morning.
Christmas Eve Forecast: Rain and storms
With increasing rain and a few storms, Tuesday’s storms will intensify rapidly in the morning.
The heaviest storms will therefore have the potential to produce some heavy rainfall.
As the cold front moves in, the Metroplex’s east and south will get the most intense rain by the afternoon.
In the worst scenario, there is a chance of flooding in addition to some minor hail and strong gusts.
The risk of severe weather is minimal overall.
Late in the day, there may be light rain and intermittent drizzle to the east.

Christmas Day Forecast: Mild, cloudy
On Christmas morning, we will awaken to comparatively pleasant temperatures. The temperature will be close to fifty degrees, although it will be humid and cloudy.
As we reach an inversion layer in the afternoon, it can be challenging to break through that cloud cover.
In the 50s, it will help us stay somewhat cool.
Thursday Forecast: Storms, possible hail
On Thursday, the next powerful system quickly approaches. Strong lift will be present in front of a fast rotating pocket of cold air.
During the morning to lunchtime hours, storms will intensify rapidly, bringing with them quarter-sized hailstones and powerful winds exceeding fifty miles per hour.
These storms will be enhanced because to the deep surface moisture from the last storm.
The worst of the storms might occur in east or southeast Texas because that might not be the case to the south and east.
In the afternoon, the storms will move out.
