Dallas Weather: Arctic air, plunging temperatures headed to North Texas

This week, temperatures will remain frigid in the mornings and warm up in the afternoons through Friday. This weekend, arctic air is predicted to arrive in Texas, bringing with it the lowest temperatures of the winter.

DallasTemperatures should gradually rise this week, reaching their highest on Friday. However, arctic air will lead temperatures to drop sharply, reaching highs of the 30s and 40s.

Forecast: Temps climb before arctic air

We know:

Through Wednesday, nighttime lows will be below freezing, with highs in the 50s early this week. By Friday, before the frigid air hits us, highs will be in the mid-60s.

You will notice the wind, but on Thursday, you should enjoy some respite from it.


Saturday Forecast: Arctic cold front arrives

We know:

The coldest air of the season will arrive as the weekend approaches. On Saturday evening and Sunday morning, there were a few flurries seen behind that front.

Travel shouldn’t be affected by the illness.

Highs in the 30s to 40s are predicted for Saturday and Monday.

The mid- to lower-20s will be the low temperatures.
