Dallas Thanksgiving Forecast: Windy, chilly Turkey Day

Although it’s exceptionally warm today, what kind of weather can we expect for the Turkey Trot tomorrow morning? Your prediction comes from Evan Andrews.

DallasOn Wednesday, temperatures will rise close to record highs, but on Turkey Day, they will drop.

On Friday night, a powerful cold front will swiftly pass through. Overnight, winds may gust up to 30 mph as they shift to the north. Cloudy skies should keep us from being too frigid, but that will bring in some very chilly air. Additionally, don’t rule out a few sprinkles.

The cold will hit you as you awaken.

With wind chills in the 30s, temperatures will be in the low 40s.

By the afternoon, clouds will begin to thin out and winds should start to lessen. The low 50s will be the final high temperature.

On Friday, the temperature may drop to almost freezing.

Cities like Colorado Springs and Denver are under Winter Weather Advisories, and winter weather advisories are still in force throughout the region.

By Thanksgiving Day, a winter storm is expected to move into the Northeast, which could cause delays for last-minute holiday travel, Black Friday shopping, and the beginning of journeys back home.

Parts of the region are expected to experience heavy rain into Thursday night. As it gets closer to the area, the system will get stronger, and winds may start to pick up and cause delays at airports.
