Dallas Stars’ Tyler Seguin to undergo hip surgery, expected to miss 4 to 6 months

DALLAS—General Manager Jim Nill has announced that Tyler Seguin, a forward with the Dallas Stars, will be sidelined for the next four to six months.

Seguin’s left hip labrum and femoral acetabular impingement will be repaired during surgery on Thursday.

In New York, Dr. Bryan T. Kelly will perform the surgery.

Seguin, age 32, was put on injured reserve.

Due to a lower body ailment, he has missed five games so far this season.

In 19 games this season, Seguin has nine goals and eleven assists.
