FRISCO, Texas:Klayton Adams, the former offensive line coach for the Arizona Cardinals, has been hired by the Dallas Cowboys to serve as the team’s new offensive coordinator.

Brian Schottenheimer, the head coach of the Cowboys, is anticipated to call plays in the upcoming season.

The backstory

Adams has been the offensive line coach at Arizona for the past two years.

Adams’ Cardinals finished fifth in the league in 2024 in terms of total running yards and second in terms of average rushing yards per carry.

Adams worked in the collegiate game for a number of years after concluding his playing career at Boise State, including time at Colorado, San Jose State, and Sacramento State.

He held a variety of responsibilities, including those of co-offensive coordinator, tight ends coach, running backs coach, and offensive line coach.

Adams worked alongside Cowboys defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus when he was hired by the Indianapolis Colts in 2019 as an assistant line coach.
