In January, the Idaho Caribou Targhee National Forest’s Teton Basin Ranger District office will move to a new location.
The new office will be accessible to visitors on January 20 after the current one closes at 4:30 p.m. today.
The Silver Star Communications building, located at 1670 N. Highway 33 in Driggs, Idaho, will house the new office.
In a U.S. Forest Service press release announcing the shift, District Ranger Jay Pence expressed gratitude for finding a site that allows them to remain in the Teton Valley. After the next six weeks of relocation, we will be prepared to begin public services on January 20, 2025.
Christmas tree permits are available online at recreation.gov, at Victor Emporium in Victor, and at Peaked Sports and Yostmark Mountain Equipment in Driggs while the office is closed. The public can schedule appointments for special use permits or other requirements by contacting 208-354-2312.
