Google Trends data shows that on January 21 at 9 p.m. EST, when the streaming service announced it was raising its fees, searches for “cancel Netflix” increased 100 percent globally.
Although this is the fourth price rise since 2011, the previous two occurred in less than two years.
Netflix raising prices
According to reports from The Verge, CNN, and AppleInsider.com, users of the streaming behemoth will soon have to pay $17.99 a month to watch episodes and movies without advertisements, up from the current $15.49 fee. According to the sources, anyone with a regular account—one that includes advertisements—will soon have to pay $7.99 per month.

How to cancel Netflix
You can terminate your Netflix subscription at any moment, the firm says. To cancel, you will need to log in.
