Around eight in the morning, according to Fort Worth police, someone saw a silver car in a pond near the Rivercrest Country Club on Western Avenue.
They dispatched divers to look into it. Inside the car, they discovered an old man’s body.

While still transporting two remains, a funeral company van became stuck in the rising floodwaters close to White Rock Lake.

How the car got into the pond is still being looked into by the police.
It’s possible that the driver crashed or was swept up by rising water overnight due to the intense rainfall.
The victim’s identity has not yet been made public.
