Texas’ ArlingtonAccording to Arlington police, a suspect who was holding a man at knifepoint overnight was shot by two policemen.
Early on Wednesday morning, it took place at a Motel 6 off North Collin Street close to AT&T Stadium. The suspect’s wounds caused his death.
Around one in the morning, police were called to the scene after hearing reports of a guy acting strangely and banging on doors while brandishing a knife.
Arlington police searched every floor when they got there. From inside a motel room, they heard someone calling for assistance. Officers pried open the door.
“The officers came upon two men, one of whom was brandishing a knife at the other. The victim was screaming for assistance and trying to keep the knife away from himself. As this was happening, the victim was also hurt and bleeding,” Arlington Police Lt. Courtney White said. “The two men were still having trouble. The officers started ordering the male suspect to put down the weapon.
According to the police, the suspect would not put down the knife. The suspect was hit by the bullets fired by both cops.

According to investigators, the two men were strangers.
“The suspect was going door to door, yelling and banging on various motel rooms,” White stated. “We believe the victim heard the yelling and opened up the door to his motel room when he was confronted by the male carrying the knife.”
According to Arlington police, the suspect was involved in a previous criminal mischief complaint involving a man who was hurling trash cans.
