Arlington crash kills man trying to help stranded driver, police say

Texas’ ArlingtonEarly on Saturday morning, a crash in Arlington left one person dead and two others hospitalized.

When an SUV impacted another car and many pedestrians at around one in the morning, police were summoned to N. Watson Road, close to State Highway 360.

A 31-year-old guy and a 42-year-old woman were on the ground when the police arrived. It was necessary to remove a 34-year-old woman from her BMW X1.

They all went to the hospital. The man was declared deceased. According to reports, both women are in critical condition.

A 34-year-old lady in a 2016 Hyundai Veloster lost control of her car, skidded off the road, and phoned family for assistance, according to investigators.

The 31-year-old man parked in the right lane of his 2004 GMC Yukon when he arrived in the area. The BMW entered the area at high speed and struck both the Yukon and the 42-year-old woman as they were attempting to connect a tow line from the Yukon while they were out of their cars.

Police in Arlington are still looking into the collision.

The possibility that alcohol played a role in the collision has not been ruled out by investigators.

There are currently no charges pending.
